Xenocs Xeuss Pro SAXS/WAXS System
Xenocs Xeuss Pro SAXS/WAXS System

The Xenocs Xeuss Pro is a high-performance Small- and Wide-Angle X-ray Scattering (SAXS/WAXS) instrument designed for nanoscale structural characterization of materials. The system supports research across a broad range of disciplines, including chemical engineering, materials engineering, biotechnology, biomedical engineering, chemistry, life sciences, and health sciences.

Specifications:
X-ray Sources

The instrument is equipped with three interchangeable X-ray source configurations:

  • · GeniX 3D Cu HFVL (High Flux Very Long Focal Length) collimated X-ray beam source, 8 keV (standard SAXS/WAXS operation) · GeniX 3D Low-Convergence AuX focused source, 8 keV (optimized for GISAXS measurements and solid samples) · GeniX X-ray generator with Cu microfocus tube and InXight module for X-ray imaging, 8 keV
  • Detection System
  • · Beamstopless SAXS operation · EIGER2 R 1M hybrid pixel photon-counting detector (SAXS) · EIGER2 R 500K WAXS detector. · Continuous q-range coverage from 0.003 to 4 Å⁻¹ · Automated absolute intensity scaling
  • Sample Environments and Accessories The Xeuss Pro accommodates a wide variety of sample types and experimental configurations (by default in vacuum):
  • · Multi-sample capillary holders for liquids · Sample holders for solids, powders, and gels · Temperature controllers. · BioXolver solution-state BioSAXS platform, including the BioCUBE flow-cell assembly and automated liquid-sample loading robot · GISAXS stage for grazing-incidence scattering studies · Xenocs Couette stage for shear-SAXS measurements (in-air operations only)
  • Location: Building 51, Room 108
